The equipment is based on a container with an insert located at the bottom and a lid. The container's sides are provided with a geometric pattern, preferably vertical grooves. The bottom of the container is provided with a regular geometric pattern, at least with parallel grooves but pref. with a grid pattern forming depressions and ridges. - The top of the container is formed with a curved transition, a vertical section, nose and a folded back rim. The rim is formed to allow stacking of containers, while permitting the flow of gas. The lid is provided with grooves (10) and a rim, which is the mirror image of the container rim, permitting a snap-closure. - The container is sterilised, with the agar replacement insert, but before filling with nutrient solution, using a gas at room temperature(Dwg.0/2)
