PURPOSE: To permit the use, operation and maintenance within a hermetically sealed and shielded enclosure member by the use of a remote control device. ;CONSTITUTION: The modular mixer-settler is provided with a mixing chamber 1, in which a turbine 8 driven with motor devices 3, 4 rotates inside, a settling chamber 2, which is connected to the mixing chamber, circulating tubes, which are connected to tubes for the light or heavy phase circulation to which adjacent stages E1, E2, E3 correspond, at least one inlet and one outlet for the light and heavy phases, an boundary level-regulating member 11 and members 9, 10, which connect an inlet and an outlet for the light and heavy phases at every stage, and has mutually independent stages and mechanical agitation mechanism.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
