The tyre valve for a light metal wheel for a passenger car has the hole (28) by which the valve (47) is secured to the outer ring (14) of the wheel body set at a position which is displaced behind the wheel disc (13). The end region of the valve and its duct cap (56) are thus not visible or only partly visible through the gap (26) which penetrates the wheel disc. ADVANTAGE - Method of fitting a tyre valve which does not mar the aesthetic appearance of the wheel and which gives ready access for cleaning and use.
