PURPOSE: To form a sheet film into a tubular shape without bag-making marks and creases and with an extremely simple constitution. ;CONSTITUTION: A rotary guide roller 34 which intercrosses with the feed direction of items 20 to be packaged is located on the downstream side of a feed conveyer 16. The guide roller 34 consists of a uniform-diameter part 34a having a length corresponding the bag-making length of a sheet film 10, and tapered parts 34b which are continuously built on both sides of the uniform-diameter part 34a. Boundary parts 34c between the uniform-diameter part 34a and the tapered parts 34b are angular-built. Therefore, the feed direction is changed by the guide roller 34, and the sheet film 10 that is horizontally conveyed on the downstream side is bent at the positions corresponding to the boundary parts 34c, causing the lengthwise edges of the sheet film 10 to be gradually raised upward with the bent parts as supports, so that the sheet film 10 is smoothly formed into a tubular shape.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
