摘要

PURPOSE: To prolong the since life of a bearing by connecting a wedge to a operating mechanism and enabling to striking the end face of a thrust block against the side wall in the radial direction of a roll neck groove when a ring is pressurized. ;CONSTITUTION: A thrust ring device 5 is composed of the ring 5a which is provided around a roll 1 and plural thrust blocks 5b which are made to be movable in the radial direction to the roll 1 in the ring 5a and are possible to drop into a roll neck groove 1a which is provided on the roll 1. The wedge 6 with which the ring 5a is pushed in the direction that the ring is separated from a carrier ring 4 by wedge engagement is provided between the carrier ring 4 and the ring 5a so as to be movable toward the radial direction of the roll 1. The wedge 6 is connected to the operating mechanism which is operable from the outside and the end face in the axial direction of the thrust block 5b is enabled striking against the side wall in the radial direction of the roll neck groove 1a when the ring 5a is pressurized.
