PURPOSE: To quickly execute the operation based on the extension principle of a fuzzy set. ;CONSTITUTION: A fundamental processing unit of data consists of a pair of an element of the fuzzy set and a grade, and an arithmetic unit is provided with two operation parts of an element operation part 1 and a grade operation part 2 and operates data of corresponding fields. An associative memory which can be retrieved with elements as a key is used as the memory, and such control is performed that data is unequivocal for elements. Thus, data exchange between the memory and the arithmetic unit is simplified, and the fuzzy set operation based on the extension principle is quickly processed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
