PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of drastical passivation in an electrode in the case electrolysis is executed at high current density by composing the electrode of Ti as a base and incorporating specified amounts of Mn, Cr, Fe, Si, Al, Cl, Nd and mischmetal therein. ;CONSTITUTION: By a titanium alloy using titanium as a base and added with at least three elements selected from the group consisting of manganese, chromium, iron, silicon, aluminum, cerium, neodymium and mischmetal by 8 to 20 wt.%, a titanium alloy anode electrode for the electrolytic production of manganese dioxide is formed. The electrode has irregular cross-sectional profiles, and the surface is provided with regularly arrayed projecting fringes. During the electrolytic process, there is no need of reactivation, and it is excellent in corrosion resistance to an electrolytic soln. The attachment of precipitates is good, and drastical cracking and peeling do not occur therein.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
