REGULAR FORM SENTENCE PROCESSOR OF TRANSLATION PROCESSING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To easily obtain an accurate translation result by retrieving a regular form sentence candidate, which contains several key words extracted from a given input sentence for translation, in a holding means. CONSTITUTION:A set of key words which try to be matched with character strings is prepared and a key word as the root node of a data base for regular form sentence retrieval is set. Then retrieval S6 is performed to find whether or not a character string matching a character string after a pointer is present in the key word set to be retrieved. When there is a matching key word, the current position of the pointer and the position of a node in the data base for regular form sentence retrieval are held S7 in a pointer holding stack and the pointer is moved to the position right after the matching character string. Then key words present which are one level lower than the matching key word are regarded as a key word set to be retrieved. This procedure is repeated and when the tail of the data base for regular form sentence retrieval is reached, a reached regular form sentence is possibly the regular form sentence candidate.
