Two broadband antennas of the same type and mounted opposite each other at the measurement position act as a transmission and a reception antenna respectively. Their antenna factors AFt and Af are known and related according to AN = Vd - Vs - AFt - Af - DELTA AF . Void is the voltage at the receiver input for direct connection of both antenna cables via an adapter, VS the maximum voltage at the receiver input during variation of the receiver antenna height and DELTA Af a coupling correction factor. The measurement position damping is measured by the antenna manufacturer at a reference measurement position, and its difference from a desired value according to Table K1 of the CISPR standard for broadband antennas is determined. The deviation is used by purchasers as the coupling correction factor for all broadband antennas of the same type. USE/ADVANTAGE - For measuring stray radio fields according to commercial standards, e.g. CISPR, ANSI, EN, and VDE. Influence of each different antenna type used on measurements is minimised.
