A sensor (7) for measuring the load acting on the motor vehicle is mounted on a cross plate or suspension plate (5) arranged between a leaf spring (3) and the vehicle's axle housing (2). Sensor elements can be mounted between the upper surfaces of a flange and a surface of a plate spring . Each flange protrudes forwards horizontally from a lateral surface of the axle housing. A load sensor element can be mounted on the side of a journal bearing housing. USE/ADVANTAGE - For measuring loads acting on motor vehicle, esp. using strain gauge, without increasing height of vehicle.
