The suspension (10) has an absorber, and a wheel carrier (12) mounted on wheel control elements at a structure of a motor vehicle. A suspension spring i.e. leaf spring (14), extends in a vehicle transverse direction, and is mounted at the wheel carrier by a coupling element (16). The leaf spring is arranged at a distance over the coupling element and formed from strengthened plastic. The coupling element is in rod-shape and includes two joint points (18, 20).
