PURPOSE:To provide a lead frame and fabrication thereof requiring no deflashing wherein leakage of resin is prevented inexpensively at the time of resin molding and flashing to the outer lead part is prevented. CONSTITUTION:Before or after applying partial plating 6 for bonding onto a lead frame 1 having no dam bar between lead pins 3, ultraviolet ray curable resin paste or cream 7 is applied, in the form of thin strings crossing perpendicularly to each lead pin 2 and filling the gap between the lead pins 3, closely to a part 4 to be resin molded at the outside thereof. The resin material 7 is subsequently cured to form a resin dam part 5.
