The weatherstrip (1) is intended to be applied to the edge (5) of an aperture in, or a closure element for, the bodywork of a motor vehicle and includes an anchoring protile (2) of elastomeric material and a tubular sealing profile (4), also of elastomeric material, coextruded with the anchoring profile (2). In the portions of the weatherstrip which are intended to be applied to critical portions of the edge (5) of the aperture or of the closure elements, the transverse dimension of the tubular sealing profile (4) is increased or reduced according to circumstances, while its wall thickness remains substantially unchanged.
