FILLING LIQUID FOR INK JET RECORD HEAD AND PRESERVING/ CONVEYING METHOD USING THE LIQUID

PURPOSE: To enable a user to completely charge ink by a small quantity of suction of ink by adding at least water and a water soluble organic solvent having a specified value of vapor pressure at a specified rate. ;CONSTITUTION: A mixed liquid which contains at least water and 20-80wt.% of water soluble organic solvent having a vapor pressure of 0.05mmHg or below at 20°C is used. For the water soluble organic solvent, an ethylene glycol, a diethylene glycol, a triethylene glycol, a 1,2,6-hexane triol, a propylene glycol, and others are used. When the adding quantity is too small, a filling liquid evaporates under an environment of high temperature and low humidity on conveying a record head, so that ink charging property deteriorates. When the adding quantity is too large, printing generates bleeding. As a result, a head cap is eliminated at the time of conveyance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
