PURPOSE: To perform stable traveling along two guide courses for both traveling and lateral driving and to enlarge a floor opening area for down flow by in dependently operating all wheels with sterring means provided on all the wheels by arranging motors for traveling only at two traveling wheels on the diagonal of a vehicle among four traveling wheels provided at the vehicle. ;CONSTITUTION: Concerning the automated guided vehicle for switching traveling/ lateral driving, four traveling wheels 21-24 provided on the lower face of the vehicle 1 are equipped with the steering means for respectively independently controlling steering angles and two traveling wheels arranged on the diagonal of the vehicle 1 are provided with traveling drive motors 3 so that traveling/ lateral driving can be performed.
