PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very high speed distributed industrial control system. ;SOLUTION: A plurality of separate modules making intercommunication via a common use communication medium emulate one or more of basic electric components including an electric terminal and send a production message denoting a state of the components to a control module. A connection list of each component in each control module 12 defines a message identifier of other one component or over interpreted to have current flowing based on the reception of a production message by the control module. The control system is programmed by generating a line diagram representing the connection of symbol terminals of the emulated components to denote actual wiring on a programming terminal. A component layout diagram is used with the line diagram to identify each component with respect to a physical module.
