PURPOSE: To obtain a highly purified 1,3-bis(3-aminopropyl)-1,1,3,3- tetraorganodisiloxane useful as a raw material or a modifier of a synthetic resin such as polyimide, polyamide or polyurethane. ;CONSTITUTION: This compound expressed by formula I (R is an alkyl group or an aryl group) is obtained by hydrosilylizing N,N-bis(trimethylsilyl)allylamine of formula II and a siloxane compound of formula III in the presence of a platinum-based catalyst such as chloroplatinic acid or a chloroplatinic acid- alcohol solution. Preferably, using amount of the catalyst in the reaction is 0.01-0.2 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the compound of formula III, the reaction temperature is 100-180°C and the reaction time is ≤10 hours.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
