PURPOSE: To isolate a control element from a noisy environment by connecting a commutation controller and a current controller with different voltage references and eliminating a common current path with a motor. CONSTITUTION: A commutation controller 68 and a current controller 60 are connected with a voltage reference 80 different from the voltage reference 79 for a motor 12 and a switching matrix 34. Since the controllers 60, 68 do not share a common current channel with the motor 12, they are not subjected to a high transient electric induction noise existing in the switching matrix 34 and the motor 12. Dielectric interfaces 74A through 74C and 74'A through 74'C deliver a commutation control output signal from the commutation controller 68 to respective switches 40L, 40H of the switching matrix 34.
