The present invention relates to monoclonal antibodies and fragments thereof which bind to nematode derived β-tubulin. The present invention provides hybridoma cell lines producing monoclonal antibodies deposited with ATCC Accession No. HB 11129. The antibody of the present invention can be used as a diagnostic drug for parasitic diseases and as an antiparasitic agent. The invention also relates to the use of antigens recognized by monoclonal antibodies as vaccine compositions and immune agents.
