BELLOWS COMPENSATOR OF TEMPERATURE DEFORMATIONS OF PIPE LINE

FIELD: pipe line engineering. SUBSTANCE: when the length of a pipe line varies due to temperature variations the flanges shift with respect to each other thus stretching or compressing the corrugations of a bellows. Stretching of the compensator is arrested when slots is fully eliminated. A permissible portion of the load of stretching of the compensator is transmitted to the housing the strength of which corresponds to the strength of pipes to be connected. If one of the groups of corrugations is stretched by a value that exceeds a permissible value the further stretching is arrested with collars of the arresting stops. A projecting of the central portion of the bellows due to longitudinal bend, inner pressure and weight of the bellows with fluid is arrested with stops that are centered by way of a firing. In operation the firing allows the stop to move along the compensator. As a result the nonuniformity of the axial load is decreased. EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
