The compensator has sleeves (1, 3) serving as connecting units, which are at a distance from each other and lie coaxial to each other. The connecting units are connected with each other by a metallic thin-walled bellows (15), which is filled with fluid. An end shape of the bellows is produced by deposition of metallic molecules. The deposition of metallic molecules in the end shape of the bellows takes place by galvanic deposition and chemical vapor deposition. The bellows is made of nickel. A connecting borehole (13) is provided for connecting a capillary pipe. An independent claim is also included for a density monitor.
