Fruit juice drink (1), esp. sea buckthorn berry juice, contg. sea buckthorn berry prods. obtd. by pressing, straining or pulping the berries or berry pulp, contains the following components: (A) 10-40 (pref. 12-25) wt.% untreated sea buckthorn berry juice; (B) 0.05-0.2 wt.% xanthan; (C) 0.05-0.1 wt.% trisodium citrate; (D) 8-12 wt.% sugar; and (E) the balance water. The drink has a pH of 2.5- 4.0 (pref. 2.75-3.2) and contains 3.0-11.0 (pref. 3.7-9.5) g/l tartaric acid. Pref. the juice, pulp and/or extract in the mixed juice drink or fruit juice mixt. is obtd. from apples, pears, oranges, mangos, bananas, peaches, and/or apricots.
