The present invention relates to a tool for facilitating the fitting of tyres on rims and their removal therefrom, to be used on machines known as "tyre removers", this tool comprising a truncated conical roller free to rotate idly about a supporting pin projecting from a shaped base, which in turn is rotatable on its own pivot pin which has a horizontal axis and projects from a plate which can move along alternating vertical paths under the action of a jack; the aforesaid shaped base is provided with a locking pin which is used to make it integral with the said moving plate and to lock it in positions with different inclinations.
