A composite drawing instrument comprising at least one arm (6) for use as a graduated ruler for drawing straight lines or measuring lengths. The arm (6) comprises means (2) for finding the centre of a circle and means (9, 11) that may be combined with a writing instrument to draw the circumference of the circle. A transverse member (4) perpendicular to the arm (6) forms a set square. Said transverse member (4) and said arm (6) together form a protractor for measuring or drawing angles of all sizes.
