SUBSTANCE: invention aims at developing new approach to determine spontaneous motor activity using "open field" procedure that would be easy to execute, equip, and interpret. The aim is achieved with that, contrary to known procedure, that of invention involves recording the number of crossed squares, peepings into hole, vertical postures, and "washings" performed within the period of time from 18 to 20 h p. m. every five days with no regard to season. EFFECT: simplified procedure.
