The cable support ring has a first cylindrical sleeve (41) that passes through the hole into the space closed by the metal wall. A flange (47) with holes (48) at intervals round its periphery allows fixing to the wall. The outer part of the support ring has an enlarged chamber (45) extending to a cylindrical sleeve (46) that supports the cables. After assembly and installation of the cable, the interior of the chamber is filled through a hole a the front of the chamber with an adhesive paste. Injection of the paste forces air out through a hole (51) in the edge of the chamber. The paste then hardens, forming a solid block round the cable.
