The haemodialysis appts. maintains a constant vol. of dialysis fluid and blood circuit pressure. The patient loss is adjusted by a micropump (4) branching from the outlet tube (13) for the dialysate for extraction, together with a system (15) to weigh the extract, so that the extracted fluids can only be replaced by an equal amount of patient blood passing through the semi-permeable membrane (10).
