The appts. has a dialyser (12), divided by a semi-permeable membrane (14) into a dialysis fluid chamber (18) and a blood chamber (16). A blood path (20) is placed through the blood chamber with its first end connected to a dialysis fluid source (42) and its second end with an outlet (50). The dialysis fluid path (24) is divided into a feed line (26) leading to the dialyser (12) and a withdrawal line (28) coming from the dialyser. A balance chamber (30) is divided by a movable wall (32) into two balance chamber halves (34,36), whereby the one half (34) is connected to a first input conduit piece (40) connected to the dialyser fluid source and to a second input conduit piece (40) connected to the dialyser input. The other balance chamber half (36) is connected to a first outlet conduit piece (46) coming from the dialyser outlet and a second outlet conduit piece (48) leading to the outlet. USE/ADVANTAGE - To simplify the structure of a dialysis appts. whereby at least an equal dialyser power is achieved.
