DEVICE FOR REMOVING HARMFUL MATERIAL IN WASTE INCINERATION GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable removing of harmful material such as dioxin contained in waste incineration gas from a municipal refuse incinerator consisting of a quasi-continuous furnace or a discontinuous furnace or the like safely and at low cost by installing a column packed with adsorbent consisting of zeolite in a bypass flue. ;SOLUTION: Waste incineration gas generated in a municipal refuse incinerator is passed through a flue 1 and discharged from a stack 3 through a bag filter 4 and a column 7 packed with a denitrification catalyst by an induced draft fan 2. In the bag filter 4, dioxin, smoke, or the like in the waste incineration gas is collected and removed. A bypass flue 8 is installed so that the waste incineration gas on embers remaining takes a detour. In this bypass flue 8, a column 9 packed with adsorbent consisting of zeolite is installed. In this way, there is no ignition of the adsorbent during adsorptive operation. Desorptive regeneration of the adsorbent and treatment of making dioxin or the like harmless can be performed at the same time and the regeneration of the adsorbent is made easy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
