PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bind an unbound edition of perfect binding type or Ajiro binding type (seamless binding) by an ordinary bookbinder at a low cost as it is without generating a folding streak as seen even when a back is bent. ;SOLUTION: This unbound edition comprises a text 1 integral with sheets at a back, and a cover 2 of lamination of a front cover 21 and a rear cover 22. A strip-like unadhered region 3 of a slightly wider width than a part corresponding to the back of the text 1 is formed, and the covers 21, 22 are laminated. The back of the text 1 is adhered to the front surface of the rear cover 22 corresponding to the region 3, and the text 1 is coated with the cover 2. The cover 22 is bent together with the back of the text 1. Since the back of the cover 21 is separated from the cover 22 by the region 3, it is not bent but held in a flat state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
