The invention refers to a method for controlling honey bee pests and diseases in capped brood, and to a device for the application of such method. It consists of the fact that the combs containing the capped brood are removed from the hive, the bees laying on them are removed, and are then placed on a surface by banging them gently, so that the capped brood for which the last shedding has ended and which are not glued to the cell walls will fall to the bottom, in a bath of melted wax maintained at a temperature of 80 degrees.
