FIELD: analytical instrumentation engineering, power engineering, chemical technologies, metallurgy for analysis of concentration of hydrogen in gas mixtures , in steam and in liquid metals in wide interval of temperatures and pressures. SUBSTANCE: given electrochemical sensor of concentration of hydrogen in gas and liquid media incorporates sealed body housing ceramic electrical insulator shut from one end by plug, current leads, standard and platinum electrodes. It is proposed to install in sequence pellet made from porous electric insulation ceramics and corrugated selective membrane on side of plug of solid electrolyte. Ceramic insulator is manufactured on base of ceramics from mixture of oxides with ratio of ingredients, per cent by mass: BeO 52.0-70.0; MgO 30.0-45.0: CaO 0.005-3.0 and plug of monocrystal stabilized by ZrO2 and HfO2 resistant to steam and impermeable to hydrogen. EFFECT: structurally simplified design showing enhanced reliability, prolonged operational life in corrosive media, low sluggishness and increased accuracy. 4 cl, 1 dwg
