Each clamping jaw (4) is bent radially outwards from each end of the at least one clamping band (1). The band has a peripheral slit (3) which is bridged at the ends by an upside down U=shaped loop (4) pressed out of the band. Each loop forms one of the clamping jaws. A clamping screw (9) goes through each clamping jaw. In the clamp's axial direction, the loops have yokes (6) on the away-facing edges of which are bent radially inward pointing strips (7). The strip on the side of the clamping screw head (10) has a hole (8) for the screw shank and rests on the adjoining edges. The strip of the adjoining loop supports a thread into which the screw shank fits.
