MEDIUM PROCESSOR AND EJECTED MEDIUM FALL PREVENTING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an ejected medium from falling even when the long ejected medium is outputted by providing a plurality of bars constituting a ladder shape so as to form an opening between the bars and a top cover at a falling location of the tip part of the ejected medium on the top cover. ;SOLUTION: Bars 135 and 137 have square shapes in cross section and are provided by constituting a ladder shape at a location floated from a top cover surface. When each ejected medium 160 is successively fed from an ejection port 185, the tip of the ejected medium 160 falls in any opening part 177 formed by the bars 135 and 137, a curl outside face comes into contact with the bar 135 located at the depth of the opening part 177 and movement to the rear side of a printer is stopped. When the ejected medium 160 is further fed, the tip gets under the bar 137 and frictional force enough to prevent falling of the ejected medium 160 is generated between the bars 135 and 137. Therefore, the ejected medium 160 is held and does not fall even if the ejected medium 160 is cut after a turning back point 136 is moved to the rear side of the printer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
