PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by connecting one end of a suspending body to the lower end of a vertical sash bar body located between a floor surface and a ceiling surface in the using attitude of a ladder via a length adjusting mechanism. ;SOLUTION: The folded through section 17a of a second belt 17 extracted outward from the through hole 21a of an adjusting plate 21 fitted to the lower end face of a handrail 8 which is a vertical sash bar body is wound on a pinch body 23 made of rubber and having a square prism shape. The corner section 23a of the pinch body 23 is inserted into the through hole 21a, and the folded overlap section 17b of the belt 17 is pinched between the upper and lower edges of the through hole 21a and the upper and lower faces of the pinch body 23. The belt tip section 17c of the overlap section 17b is folded downward and extracted outward from an inverse recessed groove 21c, the outside of the through section 17a wound on the pinch body 23 is wound and guided upward, and it is hooked on a hook pawl 21b and is drawn into the handrail 8. For the length adjustment of the belt 17, the tip section 17c hooked on the pawl 21b is removed and suspended, and the pinch body 23 is pulled to this side for an adjustment, thereby a person can make the adjustment without entering a ceiling.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
