PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pick up sound by directing the directivity of a microphone array to a region, where an object sound is in existence precisely under an environment in which a reception sound from a reception speaker is generated intermittently. ;SOLUTION: A designated region sound-pickup section 21 uses signals picked up by a microphone array 31 to direct the directivity to a designated region for an undesired sound source or the like, and a specific sound source operating state detection section 22 detects a specified sound source operating state. On the other hand, a directivity scanning section 23 scans the directivity of the microphone array, and a power calculation section 25 calculates an output power. In this case, it is constituted so that a power calculation control section 24 stops power calculation to all the regions or a specified setting regions scanned by the directivity scanning section 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
