An anti-methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) composition containing an imidazole derivative represented by general formula (I), wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 represent each independently hydrogen or halogen. Since the above compound has an anti-MRSA activity, it can provide a composition efficacious in preventing infection with MRSA and a textile product bearing the composition. CHEM
