METHOD AND SYSTEM OF RECOVERY FOR L1 DATA CACHE PARITY ERROR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved computer system having a processor including a cache memory. SOLUTION: A method for processing a cache error (such as a parity error) reports an error by using system resources regardless of interruption service especially such as data storage interruption to enable software recovery. By generating the data storage interruption and showing that the data storage interruption is the result of a parity error by a data storage interruption status register(DSISR), the parity error is reported. During parity error processing, the context of a processor is completely synchronized.
