The fastening device is used for mounting of glass plates to building walls and is used in civil engineering. There are greater possiblilities for fitting the device during the assembly of the glass plates without any risk of their destruction by compensating great construction differences. Any currents produced are lead away to a maximum without any need for separate devices. The fastening device (1, 107, 201, 301) for a galvanic element glass plate (2, 101, 202, 314) contained in a side holder (3), fitted between two terminal elements (4 & 5) includes a connection muft (10) with a preadjusted stressing, resting on the internal terminal element (5). Between muft (10) and element (5) an elastic springing component (7) is fixed allowing a relative movement of the connection muft (10) towards the terminal element (5). In addition, the invention also relates to the implementation of several 3-dimensional pivot connections (12 & 13) between the glass plate (2) and the side holder to building (4), as well as to the carrying out of current collection across the fastening device (1, 107, 201, 301). 46 claims, 53 figures
