DISPOSABLE BIB

PURPOSE: A disposable bib is provided which is relatively flexible in order to enhance fit of the bib against the wearer's body and extensible along at least one axis, such as along the longitudinal or lateral axis of the bib. CONSTITUTION: At least one portion of a bib is permanently elongated such that the portion of the bib is stretched beyond its elastic limit. The bib comprises a strainable network. The strainable network includes a first region and a second region. The first region undergoes a substantially molecular level deformation and the second region initially undergoes a substantially geometric deformation when the laminate is subjected to an applied elongation along at least one axis. The first region and the second region are visually distinct from one another. The second region can include a plurality of rib like elements. The bib can comprise a laminate of a first layer and a second layer. The laminate comprises a first tissue paper layer and second body facing layer. The second body facing layer can comprise a liquid impervious polymeric film.
