METHOD FOR PREDICTING SURGICAL TREATMENT RESULTS IN THE CASES OF CARDIAC MYXOMA

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying cardiographic examination of a patient before operation. After removing myxoma detected during echocardiography examination, transthoracic echocardiography method is applied as control. No evidence in favor of spatial neoplasm being obtained, prolactin blood concentration is additionally determined before operation and multiple times during one year after the operation. Increased prolactin level when compared to norm being observed after the operation, basic disease recidivation is to be predicted. Prolactin concentration being within the normal boundaries, favorable treatment result is to be predicted. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of prognosis.
