The suction nozzle is provided with at least one steam nozzle (25) fed from the stream generator across the stream line, and also equipped with sealing elements. The base surface facing the surfaces to be cleaned is provided with a sole plate (15), having the mouth of the suction duct (16) and soft seals (18,19), extending along its longer flanks. At least one brush (20,21) is arranged before the seals, the length of which corresponds to the width of the suction duct (16). A nozzle strip (26) is arranged before this or these brushes (20,21), according to the length of the suction duct opening, corresp. equipped with a row of nozzle openings (25) supplied by the steam line (14). The nozzle openings (25) are enclosed at both sides by sealing lips (23,24).
