PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease in decoloration ratio even if decoloration and regeneration are repeated and to reduce quantity of a washing water to be used in a regeneration process by combining a regeneration process by an ozone water and a regeneration process by an alkali solution. ;SOLUTION: A polyacrylonitrile based activated carbon fiber is packed into a glass column. A decoloration test is carrier out by passing a liquid colored into yellow by heating sake on the market as a raw sake for test through the column and measuring the change of the absorbance at this time. The regeneration test is carried out by repeating the decoloration process and the regeneration process by the ozone water 4 times and after that, executing decoloration and the regeneration process by the alkali solution one time and examining the relation between the repeating times (cycle: repeating times of the decoration process and the regeneration process) and the decoloration ratio. As a result, the decoloration ratio is not decreased even when the decoloration and the regeneration are repeated and a melanoidine colored liquid is efficiently decolorized with the small quantity of washing water to be used in the regeneration process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
