PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for speedily and efficiently applying an anisotropic conductive tape (ACF) on a display panel. ;SOLUTION: A lamination tape 4 stored in a supply part 22 is withdrawn by a chuck unit 23 and is cut to a specific length by a cutter 28. A retention part 44 where a rotator 31 is provided retains the cut lamination tape 4. When the rotator 31 is subjected to pitch rotation, the retention part 44 moves onto the electrode of a display panel 1 on a tape part 10, thus applying the lamination tape 4 to the electrode. A plurality of retention parts 44 are provided in the circumferential direction of the rotator 31 and the lamination tape 4 is successively applied onto the electrode of the display panel 1 when the rotator 31 is subjected to pitch rotation. The lamination tape 4 is formed by applying a separator to an ACF and the separator on the ACF is peeled off at a releasing part 70.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
