PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sealing apparatus capable of increasing the falling strength of a heat sealing surface by devising the shape of heat sealing surface.;SOLUTION: The shape of the edge 1c of the surface 1b coming into contact with a film 3a of an upper sealing bar 1 is made corrugated and the sealing bar 1 is brought into contact with the superposed film 3a under pressure to heat-seal the film. Since the shape of the edge 1c is made corrugated, the shape of the edge of a heat sealing surface 4 can be made corrugated. Even if the load due to a falling shock is applied to the edge of the heat sealing surface, this load is dispersed because the shape of the edge is corrugated.
