Mechanical protection of two-wheelers is always done using loose locks,whether or not in combination with a fixed object. It is always advisable toattach a two-wheeler to a fixed bicycle rack if available. However using thetraditional "loose" (separate) locks for this leaves a weak point on themeans for securing, namely the loose lock itself. By providing the cycleracks with strong round basic locks (1) with a notch (3) of a shape agreed inadvance for a cylinder, a two-wheeler can optimally be secured against theft.Once the lock (2) is placed in a closed position and the cylinder fixed inthe notch (3) intended for it, this lock (2) can no longer be pushed open sothat the space (5) within the clamp is fully secure. By producing locks inthis way it is possible to make a variety of basic lock models with the samenotch. Everyone who owns such a loose cylinder can consequently use a basicclamp to lock objects away, if the basic clasp has a notch for this loosecylinder.
