A method of assembling a flexible panel on an open structure and installation for the implementation of this method. According to the invention, assembling a flexible panel (12) on an open structure (10) providing pre-assembly of these two parts by adhesion to cold, before the fix using fasteners such as rivets. The cold gluing is done by means of a bonding helmet (48) equipped internally of linear and punctual inflatable seals (54,56) which press the panel (12) against the frame (10) in the non-recessed areas thereof. The time required for assembly is thereby greatly reduced, while preserving the quality of the positioning of the parts.
