A knee joint endoprosthesis is disclosed, comprising a component (4), which is anchored to the distal end (2) of the femur bone (3), with a sliding surface (9) and characterised in both full and partial prostheses by a single ball-shaped surface and a component (11) which is anchored to the proximal end (13) of the tibia bone (14) with a sliding surface (12) which comprises a socket that is congruent with the sliding surface (9) of the femoral components (4).
