The equipment for producing rolls of wound web material comprises a feed path for the web material, and winding means for winding said web material and forming said rolls, and is characterized in that it comprises, along said feed path and upstream from said winding means, an applicator member for applying to the web material fed along said path a dry component or a component with a low liquid content of a liquid-based mixture, with which the wound web material is impregnated.
