DISK WRITING MEDIUM HAVING HEADER INFORMATION AND WRITING/READING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A disk writing medium having header information and a writing/reading method thereof are provided to efficiently use a recording capacity and to enhance a data recording density by previously processing header information. CONSTITUTION: A disk writing medium has a pit(40) and a mirror(42) formed on a land and a groove. Information is expressed by the combination of the pit and the mirror. The length of the pit and the mirror is longer than the information recording mark of a user to separate recording data into radio frequency elements and header information into low frequency elements even if data are overwritten. The length of the pit and the mirror is corresponding to a wavelength(T) of a reference clock for motor control to regenerate the reference clock by the header information. For recording header information, header information is written. The header information includes sync information, address information, and parity information. The header information is modulated by bi-phase modulation. A recording medium is processed with the header information. For regenerating the data reading clock from the disk writing medium, an RF(Radio Frequency) signal corresponding to the header information written on a disk is obtained. An envelope signal of the RF signal is detected. The envelope signal is digitized. With the digitized envelope signal, a frequency-synchronized and phase-synchronized PPL signal is obtained.
